Nancy Hansen

Nancy Ann Hansen, 85, of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, August 17th of 2018 to be with our Lord and Savior. Visitation will be held at 11:00a.m until service at noon on Saturday, August 25th, 2018 at Becker Ritter Funeral Home in Brookfield, Wisconsin.  Memorials may be made to: Martin Luther Lutheran Church.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.beckerritter.com.

Nancy was born, Nancy A. Houting, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on November 11, 1932.  She was the daughter of Bernard G. Houting and Edna E. Schupinsky. She lived most of her life in Southern Wisconsin.  There she worked on the Milwaukee Railroad and at a local law firm as a legal secretary, married and raised a family, and was active in the Wauwatosa community. Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 29 years, Jacob Hansen and her sister, Gloria (Dr. Eldo) Koenig.   She is survived by her son, Jacob B. (Jennifer) Hansen, and daughter, Lori A. (Michael) Wastlick, and four grandchildren: Erin (Ryan), Erica, Nicole (Nick), and Megan, as well as two step-grandchildren: Brianna and Mitchell and two great grandchildren: Campbell and Oliver. She is also survived by her younger sisters, Carol (Lee) Hollenbeck and Susie (William) Varney, and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy is remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, and smart business woman.  She was before her time in her ability to complete home repairs on her:  victorian home, multiple rental properties and her beloved cabin in Ontario, Canada.   She remained active in her later years with her Martin Luther Lutheran church family, the Suburban Women’s Club, and the Wauwatosa Women’s Club.
