February 7, 1935 ~ November 5, 2020 (age 85) 85 Years Old

Tribute

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at the age of 85.

Neil lead a wonderful life, full of family, friends, adventure and laughter. He appreciated good conversation along with a pint or a wee dram.

He loved all his family, but grandchildren were always a priority. Being their number one fan, he enjoyed attending sporting events, concerts, and the infamous 7th Grade Trip.

Constantly learning and curious, he attended Purdue, MIT, and The University of Michigan. While at Purdue, he was a member of the swim team, the Triangle Fraternity, and the NROTC. He received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and went on to serve in the United States Navy. Following his service, he attended MIT and received his master’s in Electrical Engineering, his master's of  Art in Communication Sciences at the University of Michigan and worked towards his doctorate at the University of Michigan. Some of his other interests included astronomy, sailing, photography and music.

After MIT he took a position in Poughkeepsie New York where he met Judy, his wife of 34 years. They moved to Vermont and New Hampshire, eventually settling in Ann Arbor, Michigan to work and raise their family.

The family would like to thank the Milwaukee Catholic Home where Neil spent the remainder of his life. He made numerous friends and enjoyed the staff, camaraderie and all the activities that they had to offer.
