Olive M. "Sue" Meier

On April 30, 2018 surrounded by her family, Sue left us to join her beloved husband Frank and children Toni Marie and Tommy in Heaven. If you knew Susie then you knew Larry, Mummy, Selma, Mother Dear, Grandma O, and Sue, a wonderful giving lady.

A private service was held with Rev. Chris Manke of St. Matthew’s Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating. Family pall bearers escorted her to her grave at Wisconsin Memorial Park.

With “movie star looks” and an incredible smile, Susie sang and danced for the USO. She had an undeniable spirit, spunk and was referred to as a “fire cracker”. A young Frank Meier knew she was the one. Together they raised a family and founded Hydro-Flo Products.  As Sue would say, “I was the parts manager”. This family business’s second and third generations, including all of their wonderful employees, are a tribute to them. A member of the Wauwatosa and Dousman Garden Clubs, she had a green thumb that could make anything grow. Sue loved the sweet scent of Gardenias. Her passions included a love of all animals; especially her Schnauzer boys Fritzie, Augie, Boomer and Max. Mom so enjoyed cooking, baking and making outstanding birthday cakes…anything to please her family. Sue was also known as the coupon and recipe queen, she just could not resist cutting out a recipe in the newspaper or magazine.

Mom couldn’t get through the grocery line without using a majority of the coupons stuffed in her little white envelope. More than anything though, Sue loved just the pleasure of being surrounded by her family and as she said at the last…
