Patricia "Patsy" Foley

Completed her earthly journey on September 16th, 2022 at the age of 92 and was reunited with her husband, parents and other family members.   Beloved wife of almost 65 years to John F. Foley who preceded her in death.  Loving mother of John Jr. (Dorene), Mary Smith (Jim), Colleen Foley (Tom) and Stephen Foley.   Adoring Grandmother of Tommy Smith (Kelsey), Conor Smith, Jessica Foley (Henry Bourassa), Madeline Foley, Danny Foley,  Angela Foley, Tommy Foley, Stevie Foley, Katie Foley, and Larissa Foley.  And her two great grandchildren, Grayson and Asher.  She was also survived by other beloved family and friends.

Patsy cared deeply about her faith, her beloved family and her dog Duchess. This was her life.

Born and raised in New Ulm, Minnesota. After high school she went on to get a teaching degree.  Before starting her career, at the age of 20, she decided to hop on the Queen Mary cruise ship and travel Europe with her sister and friends.  She then moved to Montana to begin her teaching career.  When she took a teaching position in Milwaukee, she started modeling school on the side and met her husband in the Gimbels parking garage as he was parking cars to pay for law school.

Her grandchildren lit up her world.  She never missed a birthday, holiday or accomplishment.  She was always their biggest cheerleader at their sporting events and she especially loved the basketball and baseball games.  She would always teach them important life lessons while playing games, having picnics, riding bikes, watching game shows and movies, baking cookies, having sleep overs where they would have to say all their prayers before going to bed, and surrounding them with love and laughter.  She was adored by all.  A special Thank you to her Caregivers; Stevie, Larissa, Erin, Adajha, Josie, Suzanne and all the wonderful caregivers who cared for her over the years.  They were truly her angels. 

Her funeral service will be at Holy Apostles Catholic Church on September 23rd, 2022 at 12:00 noon, with a private Christian Burial to follow.  Donations in Patricia’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.
