Phyllis Harriet Leonard of Brookfield passed away on August 5, 2019 at the age of 80.
She will be dearly missed by her children Patti Shuma, Andrea (Joe) Sartain, Jenny Cox, and Charles (Erin) Leonard; grandchildren Richard (Megan) Shuma, Timothy (Kristen) Shuma, Kelly (Pav) Sethi, Charles Cox, Joseph Sartain, Eric Sartain, Samuel Cox, Brian Sartain, Elizabeth Cox, Grace Sartain, Henry Leonard, Rosalie Leonard, Oliver Leonard, and Eleanor Leonard; great grandson Samuel Shuma; brother Harry (Smokey Kittner) Anderson; and many more family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Donald Richard Leonard; and her parents Harry and Hulda Anderson.
Phyllis was a dedicated employee of Kohl’s Department Store for 30 years. She absolutely loved rooting for her dear Chicago Cubs. Her cheers of “Yay, yay Cubs! Go, go Cubs!” will undoubtedly be missed.
Above all, however, Phyllis will be remembered as a kind, caring, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She found so much happiness in spending time with everyone she loved and sharing that joy with others. As she would say: “Love, love love!”
Services will be held on Friday, August 16 at Becker Ritter Funeral Home (14075 W North Ave, Brookfield.) A visitation will take place from 10:00am until 12:00pm, with a service to follow at 12:00pm. A private interment will take place at St. Mary's Visitation Cemetery.
