Born to Eternal Life on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at the age of 92. He was a close family friend of Pat Alexander, the Alexander families, the Cobb family, the Fritsch family, Judith Herziger, and Mike and Barb Nolan. Father Brahm will be remembered by many other friends.
Born on December 29, 1925, at Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Father Brahm began his priestly formation at the Salvatorian Seminary in St. Nazianz (1940-1945). He completed his studies at Saint Francis de Sales Major Seminary during the period of 1945-1950. Father Brahm was ordained to the priesthood on February 17, 1951 at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Milwaukee, by Archbishop Moses E. Kiley.
Father Brahm was appointed on March 2, 1951, to serve as curate at St. Rita Parish, West Allis, and on July 1, 1963, appointed to serve as curate at St. Charles Parish, Burlington. Father Brahm was appointed to his first pastorate on September 23, 1969, serving at Holy Rosary Parish, Milwaukee. Beginning on July 13, 1971, Father Brahm would serve for the next 30 years as pastor at St. Luke Parish, Brookfield; he retired from active ministry on June 30, 2001.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 8 at San Camillo (10200 W. Bluemound Rd., Wauwatosa 53226) from 2PM until the Mass of Christian Burial at 4PM. Private committal held at Holy Cross Cemetery.
