Found eternal peace on Monday, February 11, 2019 at the age of 21. Loving Son of Tom and Lisa (nee Russell), and cherished brother of Kelly. Grandson of Peter and Rosemary Aspinwall and the late Evelyn and the late Oliver William Russell; nephew of Peter (Debra), Dave (Katie), John, and Mike Aspinwall, Cathy (Ken) Wahlin, Bill “Billy” Russell, and Susan (Chris) Halverson. Sam will be remembered by many other relatives and friends.
Sam earned a Presidential Scholarship to MSOE by winning the Wisconsin Project Lead the Way Engineering Design Award while attending Catholic Memorial High School under the mentorship of Mary Petrie. The project made him a patent holder at the age of 18. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, camping, and most of all rock climbing. His passion led him to become a gifted, experienced, and accomplished rock climber. His favorite climbing spots were Yosemite National Park and Devils Lake. Sam loved all animals, and they loved him. He was extremely kind and cared for everyone, always helping anyone in need. Sam’s loving and kind nature will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, February 15 from 4PM to 7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Visitation Parish in Elm Grove (1260 Church St.) on Saturday, February 16 at 11AM.
