Passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017 at the age of 55. Survived by siblings Catherine Girard Worden (Thomas), Suzanne Scheirer (David), and John Girard (Cyd). Also survived by nieces and nephews: Mark Worden (Emily) and Molly Worden; and Andrew, Kathleen, and Michael Scheirer. Predeceased by parents Philip and Patricia Girard and infant sister Ellen.

Born in Milwaukee on December 17, 1961, Steve was a graduate of Marquette University High School where he was a champion debater. He then attended Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Steve was an amateur political cartoonist, a voracious reader, enjoyed playing the guitar and was an avid music fan whether by attending concerts or simply listening on his own. He always knew the up-and- coming local and national bands and was an expert on current affairs. He was loved by a large circle of family and friends and will be missed by many.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 12 at Resurrection Cemetery Chapel (9400 W. Donges Bay Rd, Mequon, WI, 53097). Visitation at 10am; Memorial Service at 11am.
