Susan A. (Rice) Bauer

Died peacefully on October 15th, 2021 at the age of 84. Susan was preceded in death by her husband (of 55 years) Donald. Loving mother of Robert (Laurie) and William. Proud grandmother of Sara, Joe, Blake and Alec. Dear sister of Raymond (Pam) Rice. Also lovingly remembered by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Susan was born in Minneapolis, MN and graduated from Edina High School. She continued her education at both Colorado College and the University of Minnesota where she earned a degree in education. After a brief teaching career, Sue and Don moved to Brookfield, WI where they raised their family. A longtime member of the Western Racquet Club, she loved to play tennis and socialize with their large circle of dear friends. She was also very proud of her second career at Strong Funds. She and her husband spent many winters in Naples, FL where they continued their passion for tennis and built up another circle of close friends from around the world. While in Florida, she worked as a volunteer for the Stephens Ministries.

Anyone who knew Sue would tell you that she had a larger than life personality. She loved a good party. Always the first to arrive and the last to leave.

She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
