Timothy J. Knight

Timothy John Knight was called home to the Lord on October 12th at the age of 52 after his battle with cancer. He was born in Waupaca, WI in 1966 and spent his early life in Three Hills, Alberta, Canada. He moved to Dalton, WI where he graduated from Markesan High School. Tim spent a few years at Moody Bible Institute before getting married and starting a career in the automotive industry.

Tim met his wife Jody when he moved back to Dalton in 1982. They got married on February 11th, 1989 and celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this year. They moved and worked in the Milwaukee area and finally settled in Brookfield with their four daughters. Tim was a service writer and was working at Uptown Ford Motors before his passing.

He loved spending time with his family and sharing his passions with them. Tim rarely missed a snowmobiling season and could be found tinkering with his Ski-Doo’s during the off-season. He created lasting friendships through snowmobiling and loved giving snowmobile rides to his daughters, nieces, nephews, and grandson. Tim also loved playing hockey ever since growing up in Canada. He met many friends on the ice and even won a few hockey championships with those friends. Tim loved playing and listening to music, especially hymns and Christian worship songs.

Tim is survived by his wife Jody; children Heather, Hannah, Holly, and Haley; grandson Ezra; mother Lois; siblings Daniel, Mark, Jane, Ruth, and Ben; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Tim loved and feared his Lord and always made an effort to attend church at Elmbrook with his entire family. He and Jody spent many years serving for Elmbrook in their Children and Middle School Ministries.

Above all, Tim will be remembered as a kind and funny husband, father, and friend who loved and cared for people because of his faith in Jesus.

Services for Tim will take place on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Elmbrook Church (777 S. Barker Rd, Brookfield). A visitation will take place from 1:00pm until 3:00pm, with a service to follow at 3:00pm. A reception at the church will take place after the service.
