Sherri and Evan:

I just googled Ron's name to see what he was up to and am devastaed to learn of his passing. Ron was one of the most kind and caring people I have ever known, ever since our time together in college and continuing through our connections over the years. Whenever I saw him, he always gave me a big bear hug.

I especially remember his care of his parents at the end of their lives, his devotion to his son Matthew, his joy at meeting and marrying you, Sherri, and his excitement and happiness when Evan became part of your lives.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to both of you.

Ron and I attended UW-Milwaukee Urban Studies Graduate School together and later became good friends. He was one of the funniest, loyal, and most generous people I have ever known.
I was always impressed by his devotion to children. First with his son, Matthew, who was tragically born with many birth defects (and how Ron loved him so). I will always remember how Ron took him to marching band concerts because Matthew could feel the music and respond so well.
When Ron happily remarried and adopted Evan, he poured out that same endless time, devotion and unconditional love to Evan, whom he wanted with his whole heart to have a fulfilled and happy life here in the States.
He was full of life and had a special energy that was best revealed when he came back from attending a Badger football game when he was brimming over with the energy of the interaction of the teams on the field and the excitement of the fans in the stands. Listening to him animatedly recount the game was, in itself, like watching a one-man contact sport.
Ron had a gift for remembering people and names - he seemed to never forget one - which always amazed me. He loved to discuss world events and urban issues; he was a man who cared about the world around him.
Ron shared his commitment to be authentic with other men through the Mankind Project and was committed to helping his friends fulfill their mission in life. He had a real talent for helping people through life’s transitions and I always appreciated his friendship, counsel and support when taking a turn in my own life’s path.
Ran knew my wife and children and was always attentive to their lives. They all gave me a hug and fondly recounted a story about him when hearing of his passing.
I say in gratitude that he was a part of my life. We got together every couple of weeks for lunch or a walk with a dash of crazy humor that I welcomed as a kind of social medication to deal with these trying times.
His passing is a tear in the fabric of my life. I will miss him.

Sherri and Evan,
Our sympathy at Ron's passing and prayers for all the family. I met Ron years ago and enjoyed him. I went to school with Ron's brother, Mike.

Sorry to hear about the passing of your loved one. May the comforting promises from God ease your pain during this difficult time. One of which is found at Isaiah 25:8. There it says "He will swallow up death forever, and the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.”
