Ruby Lewerenz, my friend Sally's mom, was the first "movie-star quality" woman I ever met... dressed in furs and boots with a blond hair-do that equalled Marilyn Monroe's, and a smile and genuine warmth that amazed me. She gave me a gift that first weekend I met her in Oshkosh: a sweatshirt. It may not sound like much, but my family was not into handing out gifts to strangers. Her zebra rugs and fuzzy surroundings, her beautiful home and wonderful clothes, all made me feel like a princess. I wanted to be like her. She made everyone around her happy to know her. Last year when we saw each other, she was just as gracious as always, and she loved every minute of her life. I still want to be like her. Glad to be alive every day we're here. We'll all miss her.

Your family have my sincere condolences. Death is never easy and it brings great sorrow. But the Father of all "comfort and tender mercies"will help you endure this sad time. 2nd Corinthians 1:3.

Hard to find the words. Ruby has been an inspiration to me over the years. Such joy, love and wit.. Her love of life was contagious as was her smile. She personified beauty and grace. All in her own whimsical way. Thankful to God for the privilege of knowing her. I adored her . Sending my love and condolences,

Our hearts are saddened by your loss and our thoughts and prayers are with you. May you find comfort in God’s promises “He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4. Psalm 37:29 ‘The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it.’ Matthew 5:5 “Happy are the mild-tempered, since they will inherit the earth.
